Sadly, ENB doesn't seem to log anything. I'll turn on SKSE's logs, but I don't imagine they'd include anything about ENB. I'm downloading Skyrim SE onto my Windows 10 laptop as I type this, but it only has Intel integrated graphics, so I'm not sure if that'll impact the trace.
First of all, you are to download the ENB itself from the official website. It can be found here: ENBdev. Download the latest version of the ENB. Then go to your download folder and extract the ENB package you find. Versions for TES Skyrim, GTA 4, Deus Ex Human Revolution are not working as generic for different games. If you wish to modify some game, download several versions of ENBSeries and try them all, which will look better, without graphic artifacts and with as much effects as possible.

Notice: |
ENBoost is highly recommended ENBoost is highly recommended to be used by anyone who has 2GB VRAM or less. Users with newer videos which have at least 4GB VRAM may not require its use. The following instructions pertain only to ENBoost; the memory management of ENBSeries. Please do not install a full ENB Preset during the STEP Guide setup! (this can be done later, after configuring STEP:Core/Extended and the setup is confirmed to be working.) |
Install
- Download and install the DirectX 9 Runtimes.
- This is for good measure to prevent some commonly reported issues on the forums. Be sure to install it and not just extract it!
- Download the latest ENB binary. STEP does not recommend downloading the Skyrim Nexus version of ENBoost due to incorrect settings for STEP.
- The links at the bottom of the page list all the binaries. Choose the latest file (usually the one on the top of the list), then on the next page click the button.
- Open the ENB binary archive and go to the 'WrapperVersion' folder, then extract onlyd3d9.dll, enbhost.exe, and enblocal.ini into the base Skyrim directory (do NOT copy into the 'Data' directory!).
- ALTERNATIVELY: If the 'WrapperVersion' does not function as advertized, try the 'InjectorVersion'. Remove any existing remnants of the Wrapper version, and extract only the enbhost.exe, ENBInjector.exe, enbinjector.ini, enblocal.ini, and enbseries.dll files from the 'InjectorVersion' folder into
./skyrim/
. You must run ENBInjector.exe before running the game for the injector version to work properly.

Be sure the parameters in the [THREADS] section match what is below! These are for special case use only. You are 99% not likely one of those special cases! The section should remain as follows: [THREADS] |
(Optional) Enable Windowed Mode
This may be a necessary performance enhancement for some users. If experiencing stuttering and the [MEMORY]
section is verified to be set up properly, enabling or disabling these parameters could help resolve some stuttering.
